Need Some Inspiration?

I am not an advocate of guilt driven ministry but I am in favor of REALITY DRIVEN ministry. Let's be honest - we don't share our faith enough. I don't - you probably don't. It's OK, we are friends here. The latest statistics from Thom Rainer as quoted in Outreach Magazine for Jan/Feb 2007 says that on avg., it takes 84 Christians to reach 1 person for Christ in a year. I wonder what Paul might say in response to this kind of effort and focus.

I have done the Lord's work humbly—yes, and with tears. I have endured the trials that came to me from the plots of the Jews. Yet I never shrank from telling you the truth, either publicly or in your homes. I have had one message for Jews and Gentiles alike—the necessity of turning from sin and turning to God, and of faith in our Lord Jesus. Acts 20:19-21 (NLT)

Point: We need one another to stay focused and fired up on overcoming our hang ups and hindrances to sharing the hope found in Jesus Christ. I need to consistently be encouraged and challenged to extend hope to those who seek hope in the wrong places.
